Wow, how great is this?! Free PSD templates and 5 tools to create them from scratch?!

That’s right. Believe your eyes, because today I’m going to amaze you. For real. With good intention, to help you all, I searched and found some great people with amazing abilities in web design.

“Where there’s a will, there’s a power”

So, gather up because I’ve prepared a compilation of free PSD templates which you will be able to download. And I made a list with 5 tools to open/create them without PhotoShop on the computer.

But, before we do that because we encounter the word “PSD“, let’s see what it is.

What is a PSD template?

Well, technically, PSD stands for PhotoShop Document, which is a proprietary file type from Adobe. If you look at the “big picture”, a PSD is a design file that you create and decide on how the web page should look when the HTML & CSS are in place. Yeah, I brought up HTML & CSS, because I think everyone should consider converting their PSD templates into code. But this is my humble opinion and you should always do whatever is most effective for you.

For most people, the thought of designing your own website or doing anything web development related is a scary task, especially if you’re new to all this internet stuff. Can’t argue with that.

If you’re searching for an inspiration PSD template, search no more, because below you will find a compilation of free PSD templates, which you will be able to download.

Infibuild is a construction template created by Radu Simion. You can use this asset to present your building company in a stunning way. There is also a WordPress version of this template. You might wanna check it out here.


2. Marvel Concept

Marvel Concept is a template created by Ekaterina Starchenko. You can use this asset if you are into hero headers.

Green Fair it’s an eco/natural template for nonprofit organization created by Sagorika Sultana.

Yebo it’s a bicycle template created by Yebo Creative. It has a flat layout thought to be responsive and fluid. Use it as your portfolio or to show your products, as you need.

DSGN is a clean, flat and interior architects Multipurpose Template for architects and interior studios. It can be customized easily to suit your wishes. Dsgn was created by Michele Cialone.

Decision, created by Elina Chanieva, is a great pack filled with landing pages and hero section templates that will help you speed up your website design.


5 tools to create/open PSD template without PhotoShop on computer

Without any further ado, we know and we respect that some don’t use PhotoShop. They don’t. And that’s why I made a list of tools. Here there are:

  • GIMP – GNU Image Manipulation Program: a cross-platform image editor available for GNU/Linux, OS X, Windows, and more operating systems. The software is totally free;
  • Photopea Online – As soon as you hit the button, an interface will show up. All you have to do is to start working on your PSD template;
  • XnView – With a powerful built-in editor, batch processing and Photoshop plugin support, XnView is a complete photographer’s toolkit;
  • GetPaint.net – you can download it just for free, it is regularly updated, light on computer memory, and can work with most, if not all, image formats;
  • Artweaver – this one is more suitable for beginners and advanced users.
